This is the news for all those who've packed their mind with the thought of immigrating to Canada. Expats have cautioned that the people must obviate from scams that guarantee them visas and also highly-paid jobs.
A NatWest International has reported that Canada has become a great spot and a popular destination for British expats. It seems some fraudulent schemes have been encompassing the present arena by exhibiting a palate complete with all lures and temptations.
Scammers turn to the vulnerable and exploit their desire to go to Canada. In the process, they obtain high fees for visas.
So, a Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) spokesman has informed people that only authorized officers at Canadian embassies, high commissions and consulates can issue a visa. So, people must be cautious about dealing with such scammers.
According to him, “You may have seen advertisements that promise work permits and guarantee high-paying jobs in Canada. Some offer scholarships to study at Canadian universities or colleges. Potential newcomers to Canada should be aware that many offers like these are fraudulent. In fact, using the services of people who make such promises may result in your application to Canada being rejected."
A population that is surrounded by the desire of coming to Canada has been affected by the trappings of scammers. They usually focus on the foreigners who aren’t aware of the immigration rules in Canada. The scammers usually say that the fees that they are taking for the visas will guarantee their emigration from their original place.
Officials have warned that in case of the advertised jobs that display high salaries must be checked beforehand. It’s a precaution that can prevent a person from falling into the trap of any rip-off.
CIC spokesman also said, ‘’Others may claim to offer special immigration deals or guaranteed high-paying jobs to trick people into paying them money. Some of these sites may try to get you to provide private information that could be used to steal your identity.’’
The officials have warned that they charge really high processing fees and in return guarantee visa. Processing fees is uniform all across Canada and are paid to the Receiver General of Canada.
Another highlighted point is that the scammers even ask to hire an immigration lawyer while applying for visa. Even this is hoax! So, beware, warns CIC spokesman.
